What happened between Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra?
ShahRukh & Priyanka have acted together in two movies, Don & Don 2,(as a pair) but they have gone on record to admit that they share a unique friendship.
There were many hints that indicated an affair between them. Like SRK's special treatment towards Priyanka, where he recommended her to producers, or be it Priyanka’s frequent visits to SRK's home, Mannat.
It is said that Priyanka & SRK got really close to each other during the promotion of Don 2.
All of a sudden the media was alive with the rumors of SRK cheating on his wife Gauri. Initially Gauri turned a blind eye to the whole situation.
SRK & Priyanka often went to tours to host shows together, travelled for film festivals, and were seen together in advertisements.
SRK was overseeing her product endorsements & negotiated on Priyanka’s behalf for the best deal possible. Pepsi, Nokia, Hero Pleasure 50, Nikon, to Garnier, etc were endorsements that Priyanka did after consulting SRK.
At an award show SRK proposed to Priyankaby singing a song Marry Me. It was embarrassing for all.
Things started to get annoying when the Bollywood community had to invite Priyanka to their parties just on SRK'srequest.
Even Karan Johar who had some issues with Priyanka, had to swallow his pride and invite Priyanka to his birthday bash.
When this turned into a full-blown controversy, Gauri threatened to divorce SRK, & she strictly forbade SRK to work with Priyanka.
Withthe help of Karan Johar, Gauri asked friends to drop Priyanka from any present and future projects. Karan had old scores to setlle with Priyanka & he went against his friend SRK & stood by his best friends wife Gauri. SRK broke ties with Karan, at that time.
Priyanka was called a marriage breaker by Gauri’s loyalists & she was ignored by the Bollywood celebrities. She was avoided from most Bollywood events and parties.
SRK & Priyanka drifted apart and now refrain from talking about each other.
Priyanka’s plan of moving to the US could be because of things heating up in Bollywood owing to her closeness with SRK.
The Secret Nikah.
In 2013, Priyanka’s father was on his death bed, & it was his wish to see Priyanka married.
According to rumours, SRK complied and the midnight Nikaah took place in Toronto. Later both of them went their separate ways once they returned to Mumbai. When asked about it, both of them denied it.
Priyanka acknowledges SRK as her ex boyfriend on a TV show.
In May 2017, Priyanka participated in the show Dirty Laundry. The show is all about your favourite clothes and accessories which you own for years.
She came along wearing a beautiful pair of footwear, a bag, a Pant, a T-shirt, among many other things. But, what caught everyone’s attention was the brown leather jacket.
"I was a little unsure about this one, whether I should (get it or not). But your show is called Dirty Laundry, so I thought might as well.This is a jacket that I literally live in. It's my airport jacket, but it belonged to an ex-boyfriend.

She added,
Things get exchanged. But this one I really really loved because it kind of became mine.It stopped being him like after it stayed back in my house once and I just kind of wore it.
Later when there was a tweet about Priyanka confirming the name of her ex-boyfriend, she like the tweet.
When SRK was told about Priyanka’sannouncing her marriage, SRK replied in this manner,
Even I am getting married. I'll send you an invite. I will send you the card for the reception and also, do come for the Mehendi.
Now that Priyanka is married to Nick Jonas, & she has decided to settle down in the US, at least for the time being, we can consider this affair, to be in a dormant state.
SRK was not invited for Priyanka’s wedding.
