Deepika totally nailed the role of Veronica and fans lauded her performance in the movie and agreed that no one except for Deepika could’ve done it better. However, it wasn’t Veronica’s role which DP was initially offered by the makers. According to initial reports, the actress was offered both the roles – i.e Meera and Veronica. What. The. Hell. While I didn’t watch every single film of 2018 (sadly missing out on stuff like  First Reformed ,  Roma , and  Isle of Dogs ), looking at that Oscar nominee list felt like a stab in the heart, made even worse by the fact that it was the first thing that I saw when I woke up.
