What. The. Hell. While I didn’t watch every single film of 2018 (sadly missing out on stuff like  First Reformed ,  Roma , and  Isle of Dogs ), looking at that Oscar nominee list felt like a stab in the heart, made even worse by the fact that it was the first thing that I saw when I woke up. While I never really cared about the Oscars before, this is the first time where I’m really pissed. There are so many movies that deserve recognition for that talent and quality that hasn’t been seen in the entertainment industry in a long time (or perhaps never), so many films whose lack of presence at this year’s Awards Ceremony pissed so many people off. Hereditary . First Reformed . Eighth Grade . First Man . While I only saw one of the above movies mentioned (that being  Hereditary ), I completely understand the pain and frustration that everyone else that saws those movies is feeling right now.
