Eraserhead

PLOT- Henry (John Nance) resides alone in a bleak apartment surrounded by industrial gloom. When he discovers that an earlier fling with Mary X (Charlotte Stewart) left her pregnant, he marries the expectant mother and has her move in with him. Things take a decidedly strange turn when the couple's baby turns out to be a bizarre lizard-like creature that won't stop wailing. Other characters, including a disfigured lady who lives inside a radiator, inhabit the building and add to Henry's troubles.

PLOT- As a cub, Simba is forced to leave the Pride Lands after his father Mufasa is murdered by his wicked uncle, Scar. Years later, he returns as a young lion to reclaim his throne.

Chatur from 3 Idiots. Let's be pragmatic. In one of the instances, Chatur challenges the 3 protagonists that few years later they'll meet to see who's more successful and who's not. They do meet after 5–10 years. Chatur is happily married with a villa and car, but what about Raju and Farhan? They're both successful too, but not as much as Chatur. Farhan is a successful writer and photographer, and Raju is a successful engineer. Well that's what we can make out from the interior of his house. So basically,   Chatur is successful . Let's not forget how the main protagonist Rancho mocked Chatur in the movie for mugging up his books and made fun of him saying he would reach nowhere in life. Chatur is shown as a nerd who only mugged up   his books. He wasn't the topper of his class, but he was never 3rd. If we see thing from his perspective, we see that he was a competitor. What. The. Hell. While I didn’t watch every single film of 2018 (sadly missing out on stuff like  First Reformed ,  Roma , and  Isle of Dogs ), looking at that Oscar nominee list felt like a stab in the heart, made even worse by the fact that it was the first thing that I saw when I woke up. While I never really cared about the Oscars before, this is the first time where I’m really pissed. There are so many movies that deserve recognition for that talent and quality that hasn’t been seen in the entertainment industry in a long time (or perhaps never), so many films whose lack of presence at this year’s Awards Ceremony pissed so many people off.
